The one where it gets warm

Hellooo again!! These past two weeks have been flying by! Can't believe it's already May. I swear New Years was like last week. The past two Sundays we have been meeting with Russ Fish such a good guy, we have put him on a date for baptism on June 10th, right before he gets married!!! He's an older guy and it's kinda hard to teach and help the info stick so we have had to make adjustments to our lessons to make them a lot simpler. It's all going good and he is retaining the information so that's awesome and probably the best thing we could ask for.

But this past week is when we got the sun and holy Zach has been starving for some sun and these three days of solid sun made me super happy. We had member meals throughout. On these sunny days we walked bc I wanted to be in the sun for longer lol even if it took twice as long to get there woot woot we love the sun!

We had a couple of services we did these past two weeks one was helping a non-member move stuff from winter storage to her summer storage and it was great weather and I saw she had a palm tree and got a Facebook post with her so that was sic.
The other service we helped with was helping this less active with her cat barriers she called them hahaha. Then the last one we had was on Saturday the hottest day and we were helping a non-member build this tin shed it was actually fun and got a lil sunburned. I'll get a picture of it for the next email we will be going back on Tuesday to help him finish it!

One thing I've been working on his week is handshakes and you might be thinking what why in my personal study sometimes I just sit back and think a little and I've been trying to think about how to be a better missionary/person, and I've noticed one thing I need to work on is handshakes but not necessarily the shaking of the hand part, its the eye contact you make with the person as you are doing it, and I've noticed I've struggled with that. Always looking away or just looking at the hands as we shake, so this past week I've set the goal to make eye contact with every person we shake hands with and we shake hands with a lot of people as missionaries. So this past week, I've been really good at doing and it was a scary thing to do at the beginning but I got better and better. A handshake can tell a lot about a person, especially my age and I want it to say good things about me. So that's one of my lil goals I've had this past week just to try to become 1% better.

Love Elder Fillmore

Service referral. She the non-member with the awesome palm tree.
