The one where Darren gets baptized!

What is uppppppp this week had one of the best endings ever with Darren's baptism happening on the 2nd of March and were able to be in the circle of him receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost in church!! Such a good way to end the week! 


Welp ima go day by day again but the main highlight was that at the top so if you don't wanna read the rest of it ur chillin haha

Tuesday 
We had our final lesson with Darren talking to him more about baptism and the doctrine behind it!! And it seemed to all make sense so that was hype!!

Wednesday 
We had the AAPS staying at our house Tuesday night and guess what we did..... we played ball at 6 am so that was fun and we had a returning member come ball up with us and he was crazy on the court so that was a good start and then we had exchanges/supercharging, it may sound bad in all the past emails of me going on exchanges with AAPS but..... let's just say they have favorites in the mission and me and Elder Pugmire are one of there favorites apparently haha so that was fun we ran it up with Elder Walton such a homie and is just cracked (super good) at teaching! 
But we had a good day we had interviews with our mission President it was so sad he seems to get sick as every new batch of missionaries comes in and President's mom passed away bout a week and a half ago and had the funeral this past Saturday on March 2nd but he was still there for our interviews such a solid President but please pray for him and his family! But after interviews, we had 5 lessons with members and still found 2 new people to teach so the day was hype and went by fast!! 

Thursday 
We had some calls and some meetings and then the AAPS left us and we were able to go to a super awesome baptism that happened in the Grants Pass zone!! So on Thursday the guy on the right in the white jumpsuit with the mustache, I taught the first 3 lessons to him with the ZLs 2 transfers ago which Jedames obv ended up getting baptized a couple of weeks ago, and Thursday he was able to baptize his sister!! 
Such a cool moment to see a younger brother baptize his older sister and wanting her to experience the joy he is gonna feel!! We love James and Lauren!!! After we helped this lady move all of her stuff out of this cranky old dudes house that was just kicking her out without an interesting notice haha but we helped her and she's gonna be moving to Merlin a different area in GP so the Merlin missionaries were able to help her unpack, she wasn't a member so maybe a teaching opportunity we i don't know yet though haha 
After that, we had a crazy good lesson with one of those people we found on Wednesday!! She's a JW but is super nice single mom and she has two kids! So we invited a awesome member and she was just able to really befriend her and just help her feel the spirit!! We invited her to church and she said maybe and she didnt end up coming but hopefully we can get her next week!!
 

Friday 
We got the baptism all prepared and we were getting more and more hyped! We had the baptism interview with Darren that night and it was just w good day!!
 
Saturday 
DARRENS BAPTISM WOOOO
we had a fun time trying to figure out the font and how to fill it up but we just it filled up just in time and we had an awesome program and everything went honestly pretty smoothly!! Except for the fact that I accidentally got us locked out of the church building while the font was filling up! but dont worryyyyy we left a window open so the humidity wouldn't be as bad with all the hot water haha so I was able to just barely squeeze through the window so i could go open it from the inside. Such a funny story and im glad we had a good laugh while also in panic mode.
Bishop Steve Nelson was the one baptizing Darren and it was so good to have him have that cool experience with the Bishop that he first met coming to church!! 
Such a good day and during the baptism i remembered me and elder Pugmire shared a cool experience together because we both had our 1st baptism on our 2nd transfer of our missions! Hope that makes sense but it was a cool thing to share together and im glad Elder Pugmire was able to see the rewards of working hard and teaching to understand!! 

Sunday 
Had a great fast Sunday and we were able to go over to the Best family for dinner and they invited another family the Echols!! So it was a good time!

I hope everyone either had a rainy or snowy week because that all its been doing here haha

  Hey hey everyone hope everyone had a good week and a good general conference weekend!!!!! -Monday  We went on this hike as a district + the APs and it was a good hike and i knew it was gonna be good because i actually did it about 10 months ago when I was in the Santa Clara Zone. So it was cool to do the hike not in the blistering July heat! The one with humidity + super cold = bone chilling

With the weather being 85% humidity and a high of 35 and a low of 15, this is next level cold that I have never experienced before.  Tuesday Nov 15 I had my first Zone Conference! After the 3½ hour drive to the stake center in Medford, OR it was super good to meet everyone from the south part of the mission! Super cool to bond with everyone! President and Sister Weekes taught about temple covenants and the wonderful blessings that we receive when we attend! Super good talks! After the zone conference, we went to IN&OUT!! I miss that food so much. We also went to Chick-fil-A to get a shake so that was yummy!! Definitely miss the fast food places lol. In Klamath we don't get none of that rip haha Wednesday Nov 16th  We did wood service the whole day for a lot of people! Super fun cutting wood with a hydraulic wood chopper lol. The one with all kinds of surprises

This week went by so fast because it was filled with surprises and other highlights below. Tuesday Nov 8th Today was filled with service and moving apartments. We did service at a thrift store called Treasures. We sorted a bunch of wires and put them in a massive bin so untangling them took forever lol once we got done they said we could go shopping around and I found a sick sock tie and a sick old handheld FM radio.  After we got done with the service we found out we were moving to a different apartment! So that was exciting and a big surprise but also a small hassle because I finally got all my clothes and desk all organized, but now had to pack it all up. Our new place is an upgrade from our old apartment so that was a massive plus! It puts us 15 minutes closer to our Keno area, but just that much further from the Yonna Valley area.
