The one where we get a temple in Lehi, Utah!

Hey hey everyone hope everyone had a good week and a good general conference weekend!!!!!

-Monday
We went on this hike as a district + the APs and it was a good hike and i knew it was gonna be good because i actually did it about 10 months ago when I was in the Santa Clara Zone. So it was cool to do the hike not in the blistering July heat! Out of the 2 districts in the Eugene zone we are definitely part of the better district so im thankful for that and im thankful for that because every other p day we are only supposed to be with our district for the whole day to try to build district unity i guess but yeah after the short hike we went back to the church and the sisters made some crepes and we a got like stuff you put on Crepes and it was a super good lunch and then after we went to the university of Oregon practice turff fields and played some soccer, it was super nice up here super sunny and about 75° gosh dang i cant wait for summer! After that we just went our separate ways and got ready for the after p day missionary work and went to this less engaged members house to read Saints with him!

-Tuesday
We had zone conference and it was actually super good day to see a couple of all time homies that are up here in the north of the mission!! Had some decent lunch provided by some peeps from Springfield (the surrounding zones get together for zone conference) everyone gave great portions during the conference and president definitely killed it on trying to be more of an effective missionary. After that we went to go help brother Furtado with some service at his rental property I was able to mow the very over grown lawn and do some very satisfying weed whacking and edging so that was sick! After that we were supposed to have a lesson with a new person to teach but something came up in his schedule so we had to cancel sadly.

-Wednesday
Wednesday was actually a super good day. We were able to have a couple lessons with some members talking to him about the restoration devotional that's going to be happening here coming up on the 21st and basically told them to bring friends because if they don't then they're going to be in trouble hahah jk jk but we are fr trying to get people to invite their friends that are not members and just get members involved in general after that we had an awesome lesson with a friend Mercedes, at first we had this lesson scheduled but Mercedes would not pick up the phone or answer our texts. So we feel prompted to just go show a at her Door and see if she was home. AND SHE WAS HOME! She invited us in and we were able to talk about the plan of salvation and it went so awesome and I briefly mentioned baptism in what it can do for us and what are the benefits and she literally said to us that she wants baptism in her life and wants the holy spirit with her all the time! We invited her to pray about baptism! And after that sick lesson we went and handed out flyers about the restoration devo to everyone we saw haha had some interesting conversations.

-Thursday
We were able to get in some more members homes and obviously invite them to the restoration devotional as usual after that we had a lesson with one of her friends named Jon. And wow Jon is going though it, we showed up in the first thing you said to us was guys I'm extremely intoxicated but you can still come in, keep in mind this guy is my age. Struggling to find a spot to sit we start talking though the weed filled air, my comp hits him with the question where do you see yourself in 10 years and he literally says i hope im not on this earth anymore, and obviously him being intoxicated im sure he didnt actually mean it but when he said that his 14 year old little sister was right behind him and keep in mind super sad household like the dad is blaring extremely loud heavy metal music while smoking and cooking, beer and tequila bottles everywhere but during all of this and jons little sister was right behind him just looking at her phone and i see tears just start rolloing down her face due to what jon had just said. And it literally almost made me cry my eyes out but held it together and we had a decent discussion after what we told him there is hope on this earth, read him some scriptures and bore probably one of the strongest testimonys ive ever done in a lesson. Super sad and we will keep checking up on him each week.

-Friday
We had district council and it was #lastdristriccouncilonFriday because President announced hes gonna be moving those meetings to after p day is over so after 6pm, and hes also making it so we dont know where we are going or who our companion is gonna be be when it comes to transfer news!! We wont know until we arrive at ojr destination! Super wild news that was told to us at zone conference, but yeah im honestly not upset about it because well i dont have that many transfers left and spending the whole day with the zone on p day im all bout that haha anyways after our last district council on friday we had interviews with President in the mission office here in Eugene and had a fire interview with President! After that the day was basically over but after we had some good late dinner from a member and then basically walked around handing out more flyers for the resto devo.

-Saturday! WOOOT WOOT GENERAL CONFERENCE
For the Saturday morning session we watched it at a dawg members lil apartment his name is Jack Ellis such a homie and thennnnn in-between session we were able to meet up with Richie!! And holy freak we are totally getting him baptized literally is so down to learn and he lives with this homie thats pretty Christian as well so we talked with them about the restoration of the gospel and invited them to the restoration devo and there both gonna come such a sick lesson and definitely hyped us up for the next session of conference! The afternoon session we watched it with the legend Brothers Furtados house and he cooked us up some super good pasta! For the evening session we pulled up to the barnes house and they fed us another dinneralready so full from the pasta and now another dinner ahh but we watched the evening session, fave talk from that was obv Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf haha gotta come the aviation stories and actually that talk like being serious was actually so freaking good!

-Sunday
Holy such a good Sunday honestly, we went over to presidents house and watch the first session and we invited our friend Mercedes to come and ofc she came for the morning session!! Literally the sweetest little Hispanic lady i have ever meet. President literally loved her and said some strong words to her about the gospel! She offered to come back and make everybody some authentic Mexican food as she said in her broken English "as long as you buy all ingredients ill make because i am broke" literally such a sweet lil lady after that we had to go drop her off but she said she loved the conference and felt so much peace! After we watched the 2nd session with at Presidents house again along with the APs being there. After we headed to a member dinner and had some fire rice bowls. After just called more members and got times set up to come talk about conference.

I have a lot of notes from conference but look back on them this upcoming week ill send more of my thoughts from conference in my next email but i loved the focus on temple and the importance of them, also LETS GOOOO THE HOME TOWN IS GETTING A TEMPLE LIKE WHATTTT.

Hope you guys all had a good week and enjoyed general conference!!
