The one where it's my last Easter in Oregon

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!! Hope you all had a good weekend, definitely seen so many cool blessings come from the impact easter has had in missionary work once again!

Ima do the day by day thinggg againnnnn

Tuesday

It was supposed to be a super packed day full of lessons and getting in members homes but it sadly just didnt turn out that way, but all hope wasn't lost because we have 2 simcards (2 phone #s) soooo we just ran up the calls and made the rest of the week sups busy!! At the end of the day we were able to have a little lesson/get to know you with jack and kirk there roommates because jack is looking for some work, but both converts to the gospel and there absolute homies. And there just younger and wow i miss talking to younger peeps everyone in my past areas are just older except grants pass had lot of youth but anyways there just super cool and have some strong testimonys. So that was a good ending to the night hahah.

Wednesday

We went to dashes house and hes probably the funniest and craziest investigator ive ever talked to hes supposed to be getting baptized on the 20th but we are gonna be pushing it back probs haha but super awesome guy, Jack and Kirk are homies with him so there gonna try to have him over for general conference and have us over too! After that had a lil meeting with our awesome ward mission leader, crazy motivated and is excited to be involved and thats what we need here!! Brother Griffin a real one. After that we did some more calls and then meet with elder and Sister Cammack for dinner! There the senior missionaries in our ward!! Super cool couple and there so willing to always help us out!! After we had a lil member message over zoom with one of our ward missionaries. After that we had a AP finding split and me and elder Peterson ran it up and we found a person to teach he had been previously on date for baptism but the missionaries couldn't find him but bc me and elder Peterson are so good at stocking we found him hahha jk jk but hes a a sick dude, we teach him this upcoming Tuesday!! Elder Peterson is fr a big time homie and we were laughing literally the whole time when we were together for the 45 minutes we were together.

Thursday

We had a service day pretty much because our day was sadly empty so we helped this member Brother Furtado that actually lost his 18 year old son due to suicide and wow he is still such a strong member of the church but just needs some son type love from the missionaries so i pressure washed his moss filled driveway super satisfying haha and elder lowery (my comp) he chopped up some kindling. But during the service Jack called us up and wanted a blessing and we said sure thing, we found out he had been throwing up like a lot and we prayed and he had a feeling to call us to come give him a blessing! So glad our day was "free" so we could help him because he definitely needed it. Had a great blessing and after went back to pressure washing at Brother Furtados house! After that we had dinner and then went over to the Hays house and they talked our ears off and as you can guess..... yup they were super oldddd

Friday

We had our normal missionary meetings we went to help a member with moving some stuff out of her house and then went over to another members home to help move a couch this ward has some old people if you couldn't tell but i for real love helping these people makes my day after those we were able to have my parents design a invite/flyer to a devotional thats all bout the first discussion that the missionaries teach so its a super casual way to introduce the gospel to non members, so we went over to print those out, shout out to mom and dad big time. After we went over to this members house his name is gabe and we were teaching his wife bout the gospel but they moving to Montana so that sucks he was a cool dude and had some crazy dope hair lol!! After thar had a good late dinner with sister Way!

Saturday

Holy crap this was a cool crazy day!!! We first had a lesson with his 23 year old homie his name is Jon, he had talked with missionaries in the past but nothing came from it but had super good discussion about the restoration, and he was asking some good questions and just had a good lesson despite the cigarette/weed filled air. So he said hes down to learn more!! Right after that we had zoom lesson over the phone with joel, joel was basically cold called because some random dude on the street gave us some random number and joel holy crap is so down, he's super busy all the time but it was just crazy!! Literally to good to be true. After the zoom lesson mans Literally had no problem with what we were teaching and Literally was like ya im down to learn more!! Like wuttttt, we were literally on fire it was a crazy start to the day! After that we had a lesson with this investigator thats gonna be getting baptized on the 27th of April so thats hype!! Super nice and sweet guy, his care taker is a member, so thats so clutch! Ok ok crazy moment, we also had was this online referral come though about a week ago and ive been trying to call and text this guy named Richie but literally wouldn't answer anything, soooo on Saturday we went to go knock the door and im expected the usual "oh no no i didnt send anything" but NOPE we were completely wrong he answers the door goes "oh yeah ive been looking for a place of worship and i saw the ad so i filled it out thanks for coming to see if i was interested" and im literally in shock so im like "yeah bet we woukd love to see you at our easter sunday church meeting!!" And hes like "yeah and ill bring my 9 year old son with me!" Im like holy this in not real so im like sick we will send you the address and time and we hope to see you there!! Definitely probably highlight of the day!!

Sunday

HAPPY EASTER Definitely such a good solid over all day! We get to chuch and still no sign of Richie and im just praying he shows up and right before the sacrament was bouta be blessed he walks in with his son and im like ahhhh lets goooo!! So i go and sit by them and they just seem so stoked to be there! So freaking sick to actually see some hold true to there word! After we set up a time to come by and teach Richie about what we believe in, so Wednesday is when we will be meeting up with him! And another one our friends we are teaching was at church for the 2nd time in a row! She's on fire, we are gonna finally be meeting with her on Tuesday! She's super cool older and from Mexico and she definitely needs to hear about the plan of salvation because she has had a daughter pass away recently so sad! But she definitely needs to hear about that and im excited to share my testimony about how i know ill see my sister again!! After we had dinner with all of the senior missionaries in Eugene and the Eugene ZLs & STLs, had some super good food provided by our legendary mission nurse Sister Peterson!

Super good Sunday but obviously missed family a lot but glad it's my last one away from them.
