The one where a paparazzi tells us to act natural

Hey hey everybody hope you guys all had a super good week lets jump right into ittttt

Monday
We went bowling as a district and by the end of it the entire bowling alley was filled with little Middle School aged kids and they were waiting for us to finish our game and they were all cheering us on so it was a super fun time hahaha

Tuesday
We had a super good lesson with one of our newest friends Tamara she's a meteor referral and she's just down to learn more about the gospel and it's just wanting to widen her view and knowledge when it comes to knowing about the Mormon church so had an awesome lesson with her! Then we did some calls and visited some members in person, and then we had a lesson with a member that's returning when it comes to going to church every single Sunday, and we just got to know him more and found out he was a convert of only a couple years ago so it was actually super cool to hear from him, his name is Brother Strawbridge.

Wednesday
We are super good early morning remember message with Sister Way and she's honestly just such a good member and she loves to talk that's for sure haha after that one of our ward missionaries needed help setting up for a fundraiser at the nearby middle school and so we were able to go help set up tables and chairs! After that we had a lesson with his mom named candy and her son named Waylon, candy the mom really wants her son to be baptized. She doesn't really recognize that this is a true church but we had a lesson with her trying to get across the point that this is the true and only church, but the lesson went super well and looking forward to our next discussion!

Thursday
We helped one of the families in our Ward move out and there's extremely sad because their family supplied all the youth/ little kids in the ward so that was pretty sad so the Moodys are living in California now, so sad. After that had some lunch and then we walk around downtown because it was such a sunny day and we ran into one of our ex investigators and he wanted to talk to us on the side of the street and..... thennn.. assuming college student was going around taking pictures of things in the city and he asked if he can get a picture of us and we said sure! So he took a couple pictures of us and it was a super cool / funny experience!! My mom said, "Looks like something out the Liahona magazine!" After that had a little member discussion as we unannounced showed up out of doorstep and after that we went over to the Abbott's and they cooked us some of the greatest gumbo and only Gumbo I've ever had in my life haha and they made us this cool "elders" HOME MADE black berry pie such a good meal after that we walked around the hills trying to talk to people.

Friday
In the morning we went over to help Brother Furtado with some service at his rental property mowed his yard pulled some weeds just man stuff things yk haha but after he asked us if we wanted anything on the way back and I told him what would be super good right now it was a Wendy's frosty and he was like "bet we'll go right now" so brother Furtado such a dawg for that one. The day was supposed to be pretty packed but some lessons fell through and we ended up meeting with a returning member and he's definitely going through some stuff but we were able to talk to him and ultimately give him a blessing brother Sean Walker is a big homie just needs a lot of help and prayers

Saturday
One of our investigators Jamie is getting baptized as upcoming Saturday on the 27th he came to a YSA baptism Saturday morning and it was just a super cool experience to have him see what a baptism is all like and it went well! After we had 3 non-member lessons fall through so that was super tough but we were able to call a lot of people and figure out Jamie's baptism!

Sunday
I'm at church and candy in Waylon ended up coming so super good and we had just a really good turnout and Thursday night we got told that we were going to be speaking in church so me and elder lowery (my comp) spoke! After church we got a text from Brother Furtado saying he caught a possum and sent us a picture and we knew we had to go right over to his house and see it so we did and it was super cool to see when in person because I never have haha later that evening we had the awesome restoration devotional put on by the mission basically teaches the first discussion and a lecture form in chapel and it's just a super casual way to bring non-members of the church and we had a really good turnout apparently the last time they had one of these devotionals only 20 people came and I would say we had about 170 people come to this one so huge turn out and had a lot of happy people there!! Excited to see what comes from that devotional!!
