The one where I go to the University of Oregon!

Hey hey!! Hope everyone is having a good week! This week flew by so quick it wasn't even funny

Monday
We balled up at the church for basically the whole day but around 3 pm we went over to the practice fields at the university and played a lil Frisby. After P day was over we had District Council which was kind of a drag because we were all super tired from being in the sun or playing sports all day, so that was an interesting meeting but it was fun being with his zone the whole day! After the District Council then we started the district leader Exchange!!

Tuesday
We had our district leader exchange, so Elder Lowery (my comp) went with our district leader Elder Miller out to his area in Veneta. And me and Elder Weber ran it up here in Eugene 1st, had such a solid busy day and we first went to this lady's house, her name is Tamara and she sent us a referral (responded to an ad online) a on Sunday so we texted and called no answer so that morning we went to go visit her. She literally had no knowledge about what members of the church believed in so me and elder weber ran up the first lesson right on the spot and she was all about it, wants to learn more and we will be meeting up with her Tuesday morning!! So sick to see someone be so willing to just learn more bout god and his nature!! After that lesson got a lil Domino's shout out to mom and dad coming though with the gift card! After some good lunch we went over to I member message but we had it at her store that she owns and there was an employee that actually was sitting in on the conversation and we talked a little bit about the gospel and what peace and knowledge it brings to our lives and the member that owns the store was just being an sick missionary!! So we found 2 new people to teach that day and we will also be teaching that lady that sat in on the conversation on Tuesday!! BOOM 2 NEW PEOPLE literally too easy it was such a good day and the rest of the day we were just in and out of less actives homes shareing about this devotional about the restoration we have coming up and inviting them to it! Elder Weber a dawg we exchanged back that night.

Wednesday
Super mid day because some things fell through but we were able to get in a couple of members homes and we went to a baseball game to support one of the ym thats gonna be moving out of the ward such a rip we walked and talked for the rest of the day lameee

Thursday
This was also a interesting day, but the beginning was hype haha we got haircuts from this members barber in town and he was super nice and didn't mess me up so i was glad haha obviously being senior comp I definitely didn't make my comp go first to see if he was bad or not hahahh.  But honestly did a solid job and after that we just went back to our members home brother Furtado because he drove us and then we just studied at his house and then helped him with some early morning ish service, mowed the lawn did some edging and just some other miscellaneous stuff done. After that we went home to have lunch and then we had a lesson with one of our younger Ward members, his name is Jack and he's an absolute dawg we got talking with him, and a ysa aged member who was getting baptized into a ward got in a fight with Jack not a physical fight but a verbal fight and now dash, our friend that we were teaching completely has dropped us and it's not Jack's fall at all but it was just kind of a bummer to see how dash was responding to the whole situation he definitely blew the entire thing out of proportion and ultimately didn't want anything to do with the church. So we basically just talked to Jack and got his side of the story and it was definitely a bummer to see but dashes priorities are not on the gospel or getting baptized at all so we decided just to leave him alone for now and maybe he'll come around to it. After that had some solid tocos with some really solid members the Whipple family!!

Friday
We visited a whole bunch of people in the morning and call the whole bunch of people and walked around and knocked some doors didn't really see any success but we were able to meet up with the less active member and talk to her invited her to church and sadly she didn't show up on Sunday but it still good conversation, after that we had a lesson set up with one of these homies that stopped us on the street and we had a discussion to get to so we had to hurry and grab his number and we had a time to meet up that day and he completely flaked out on us so that was annoying ughhhh but after that we had dinner and then we went to the concert called "the Lamb of God" one of my most favorite concerts that's ever been held. We were able to have some really solid members that are just less engaged take us and we were able to get to know them more and have them see us in a more normal setting, president Richardson the Grants Pass State president was also at the concert and it was really cool to see him there was also some other members from Santa Clara First Ward that I served in that I was able to say hi to them so that was super cool!!

Saturday
We had a last-minute spontaneous ZL/YSA exchange and I was able to University of Oregon campus and get a little sense of what it's like to walk around campus and talk to college students it was actually super fun and we definitely had some good laughs for sure. I think we were able to get like 10 numbers in the span of maybe like an hour talking to people and just seeing if they were down to possibly learn more about the gospel so that was actually super sick.
The campus gave off some serious Monsters Inc. University vibe (The movie) after some we had some lessons with some YSA-aged friends that they were teaching so super sick and then after we exchanged back and while my comp was with the other ZL they went out and found three new people to teach!! So fricken sick and the first 2 people that they were able to talk to was a mom and her 8-year-old son walking there dog and the mom literally goes my son has been thinking about getting baptized and they were like no shot well lets teach you and you mom and then get baptized together!! There literally so down and they came to church the mom''s name is Candy and the sons name is Waylon!!
The 3nd person they found was a person who showed interest in the past but ultimately looked up some of our beliefs and that's what drove her away so they went to go knock on her door she immediately brought up these questions and they were just like completely false and it made a lot of sense to her, so she was down to me back up and possibly start talking again!! Her name is Christine! s
Such a crazy cool experience to hear about because the mom and her 8 year old son and Christine all live in the exact same apartment building across from the church so it's super easy to have them come to church so that's a plus!!
After we exchange back and had a lesson with the dude that's getting baptized on the 27th his name is Jamie he's a homie and is looking forward to his baptism were able to work out some details for the baptism program!!

Sunday
We had a brutal meeting @ 7:30am for ward council after the meeting apparently candy and her son wanted us to come to knock on her door and make sure that they were coming to church so we ran over and knocked on the door and they said they were planning on coming to church so I was hype, they ended up coming to church and Candy ended up bringing her much older son and his girlfriend so that was super sick!!!! We were able to set up a time to meet this following week to talk more so that was awesome. After church we went over to Christine's house to answer some more questions about the church and possibly just give her a little bit more knowledge and that went well and we invited her to the restoration devotional that's going to be coming up this Sunday!! So cool that we have found just about five people this week that I could easily see getting baptized within the next couple months!!

Super busy and a success week!! Love ya guys and hope you have a safe week!

God loves ya
