The one where I notice time FLYS

 May 1st - 7th 2023

On Tuesday, I got to lead the message we were having with a part member family, the Rynearsons and it went really well! I shared the classic video with them called "Baring our burdens with hope," and I loved what Jerry (the husband) said "God gives us tools we just have to choose to use them." 
That statement is very true and guess what Jerry, is the non-member of the family! So as we meet with them week by week we are hoping we could start to reactivate the wife and get the husband to possibly get baptized! 

We had Young Men's right after the message and we decided to go with the Deacons this time and I was like "Ohhhhh boy here we go" hahaha but we decided to send it and it was actually pretty fun. They were just making paper airplanes and then the last 30 minutes one of the leaders had a paper rocket air compressed take off thingy it was fun for me and Elder Chevalier just to sit back and watch haha. 
As I looked around just the deacons mess around, it just reminded me time goes by so fast. I barely remember myself being a deacon but it doesn't feel like that long ago lol.  Turning 20 this summer I'm like dang where did the time go!!

On Sunday, we helped teach a mission prep class for the stake and it was pretty fun because it was a competition between me and Elder Chevalier lol.  Well I took it like one but we had our own group of kids from the stake we helped them learn how to teach lessons 1, 2, and 3 out of the Preach My Gospel book. I taught them the 2nd lesson (Plan of Salvation) 
And I made it super simple and I felt like a got first place but I could be biased hahaha it was good to work with the youth and glad to see kids still getting excited about a mission!

  Hey hey everyone hope everyone had a good week and a good general conference weekend!!!!! -Monday  We went on this hike as a district + the APs and it was a good hike and i knew it was gonna be good because i actually did it about 10 months ago when I was in the Santa Clara Zone. So it was cool to do the hike not in the blistering July heat! Out of the 2 districts in the Eugene zone we are definitely part of the better district so im thankful for that and im thankful for that because every other p day we are only supposed to be with our district for the whole day to try to build district unity i guess but yeah after the short hike we went back to the church and the sisters made some crepes and we a got like stuff you put on Crepes and it was a super good lunch and then after we went to the university of Oregon practice turff fields and played some soccer, it was super nice up here super sunny and about 75° gosh dang i cant wait for summer! The one with humidity + super cold = bone chilling

With the weather being 85% humidity and a high of 35 and a low of 15, this is next level cold that I have never experienced before.  Tuesday Nov 15 I had my first Zone Conference! After the 3½ hour drive to the stake center in Medford, OR it was super good to meet everyone from the south part of the mission! Super cool to bond with everyone! President and Sister Weekes taught about temple covenants and the wonderful blessings that we receive when we attend! Super good talks! After the zone conference, we went to IN&OUT!! I miss that food so much. We also went to Chick-fil-A to get a shake so that was yummy!! Definitely miss the fast food places lol. In Klamath we don't get none of that rip haha Wednesday Nov 16th  We did wood service the whole day for a lot of people! Super fun cutting wood with a hydraulic wood chopper lol. The one with all kinds of surprises

This week went by so fast because it was filled with surprises and other highlights below. Tuesday Nov 8th Today was filled with service and moving apartments. We did service at a thrift store called Treasures. We sorted a bunch of wires and put them in a massive bin so untangling them took forever lol once we got done they said we could go shopping around and I found a sick sock tie and a sick old handheld FM radio.  After we got done with the service we found out we were moving to a different apartment! So that was exciting and a big surprise but also a small hassle because I finally got all my clothes and desk all organized, but now had to pack it all up. Our new place is an upgrade from our old apartment so that was a massive plus! It puts us 15 minutes closer to our Keno area, but just that much further from the Yonna Valley area.
