The one where I got stung!

Another 2+ weeks have gone by and I am preparing to end my 8th transfer in the OEM! So crazy to say that! I will hit my year mark on October 10. I'm sup excited about what's coming up and the great people we have met thru our contacting efforts. Sic! We have been slammed busy and my comp and I had enough energy to go through each day somehow. We have had a ton of awesome lessons and visits, plus made time for a few great service appointments. I will hit a few highlights from some of our activities.

This past week, it was awesome to help an older couple in the area clean up their house, and we even did a little painting and hung some new doors. That took us about 4 hours. From there we had another service appointment and spent about 2 hours pulling weeds in the heat.

Right after that service appointment, we rushed home to get cleaned up because we had an appointment with a really sweet lady named Cara. This was our first lesson with her, kind of a big deal so I literally prayed to have energy and God definitely delivered.
We had a great lesson and she literally wants to get baptized like super soon. She said that she wants to do what missionaries do! And I'm like YOU CAN TOTALLY DO THAT! (especially after Elder Rasband's talk). So that got her super excited. She has been out of state visiting her brother, but I'm super pumped for our next visit.

Early evening that day, being worn out and just wanting to do nothing, I got this super big craving to go get candy at the gas station, which is just down the street.  We walked over and we ran into a guy and we started talking and that he was down to talk about the Bible and just chat with us! We got his number and should be meeting with him soon! Super nice guy and it was so easy to get his number because we have been practicing this for the past 5 weeks! So follow those cravings/the Spirit haha!

We had an awesome evening out with the Elders Quorum. The EQ pres invited us to come to their pizza night activity which was sup great. It was cool to visit and get to know them more. We spend a lot of time with the youth, so it was a nice change to hang with the bros of the ward.

Fast forward to General Conference. We spent all the sessions with other elders or families in the area. Saturday morning session, Pres. Dallin H. Oaks gave my favorite talk of this years general conference, loved the detail about the 3 kingdoms of glory and how we need to "Honor our agency" and “salvation is an individual matter, but exaltation is a family matter.”  it comes to how we live our life! Exactly what were are teaching about right now.

Obviously, President Nelsons talk was crazy awesome, and we definitely need think more Celestial! Such solid line to remember! Def would solve world problems if we all thought that, but we can only control ourselves!

The last p day of the transfer was quite good/terrible. it was good because we played a lot of sports like football, ultimate frisbee and basketball. But the terrible because I got stung by 3 yellow jackets! There was a nest by the church doors and those were the only doors that were unlocked so we ran through a few of them and flew up my shirt and stung me 3 times such a lil fetchers but then we got In & Out for lunch so that made me happy!

Hope you all have an awesome week.
