The one where I'm ready to leave bruh
This week has been great, but it has also made me realize that I'm ready for Oregon! I'm beyond excited to be flying out tomorrow Wednesday morning! The MTC has gone by so fast but with my patience tapped, all I've wanted to do ever since I got here is to go to Oregon. You know ready when you start to lose weight from the lack of tasty food as the cafeteria food is extremely mid (mid = not so good) lol.
I'm filled with excitement and nerves, and wrapping up all of our classes, saying goodbye to our awesome teachers, and getting ready to teach real people, not actors. ;) but with all that being said, I feel ready to go to Oregon! did I mention that already? lol
The past two weeks have been so amazing with this district because they have truly brought me pure joy as I miss my family and friends at home. I'm so beyond happy that we were able to laugh and learn more about what we are gonna be teaching!
I got to speak in church this week! I was so nervous because there was a lot of pressure, but all that pressure came with the topic I was given. I was asked to speak on the Plan of Salvation! So as I prayed every night I was asking the question if it was appropriate to talk about my sister Maddie's passing and the Friday night before church I got a super powerful feeling put on me and I knew that was Maddie hugging me and I knew right there I needed to share my story of Maddie.
I finalized my talk Friday night making sure I was ready as I knew we would be busy all day Saturday and boom the talk was done! I am glad I packed my farewell talk for a reason because it was super easy to use that a little and relate it to how my learning about the Plan of Salvation (the plan of happiness) and how it's grown with me being here at the MTC! And after I gave my talk and me crying through the whole talk, I knew someone needed to hear that in the meeting and I'm so glad I got that impression from Maddie Friday night to speak on my experience that brought me closer to God in the long run! Can't wait to share that experience more with the people in Oregon!
As I pack up to leave I'm definitely gonna miss the concrete and cinder block jungle but I'm also glad to be going somewhere where it's a little more green lol because if you know me, I love the green outdoors!
Oregon here I come!
On our last visit to the Provo Temple for all of us.
The new one will start construction next year.
