The one where the phone call goes wrong
Hey hey everyone!!! Wanted to finally finish my email this morning so this email will be covering the 21st of January all the way to February 2nd which is today!
This transfer has gone by so fast but we have seen some cool experiences!! The one that's probably the most exciting is the 13-year-old we have been teaching Darren is gonna be getting baptized officially next weekend probably on the 10th!! So excited and after all the hard work teaching and making sure he knows his stuff a little. I'm looking forward to that weekend fs!!
We also had interviews with our President Cornelius on the 31st Jan and those went well and I ended up asking where am I going for transfers and he said I'm most definitely staying here so that freaking awesome! Super excited to stay in the Redwood Ward and help the work move forward!
Side note sister Cornelius's mom passed away a couple of days ago so keep her in your prayers
Another fun experience we had was going on a 48-hour split with the (superchargers) or AAP haha. We went with Elder Peterson again and it was so fun we literally were laughing the whole time and had some crazy interactions the most memorable one was when we were calling a guy named Robert and this little kid answered and Elder Peterson said "Hey is this Robert?"
And the little kid goes "Oh that's my dad" and then we go "Oh no worries is there gonna be a time today when he gets back?" And the little kid goes " So my dad's gonna be a while because he's ....... in jail!" We just started busting out laughing because it was the last thing we were expecting. We hurried and put it on mute while we were laughing but it was so sad but also funny
We had some good tracting visits! And found some hopefully new people to teach!
On the 30th, President came down to GP for interviews AND to feed everyone brisket and cheesy potatoes for our ward huddle missionary training! It was such good food and President and his 2 counselors were able to speak on the importance of not just the missionaries doing all the work and making sure the ward missionaries are putting in the work to find people for the missionaries to teach!
Also, James got baptized in the YSA branch!!! Me and the ZLs taught James the first 3 lessons when I was in Santa Clara and then transfers happened. Super awesome, James has a crazy conversion story and it all happened so fast but he is a downright homie, and I'm so glad he chose to get baptized it was a super good Saturday morning on the 21st to see him be baptized.
