The one where I got those digits

Holy these past 2 weeks have gone by way to fast! We have had so much to do and so very little time to sit down to eat but we have gotten thru it all and are cranking hard.

But ill fast forward to the kinda exciting stuff. On September 5th, we had Zone Conference and it was a really good and it was a very insightful. President wants us to be direct finding people to  teach. He is transitioning the mission towards public finding which is awesome and super exciting because I never liked doing Facebook finding. President explained that has assigned two missionaries, kinda like APs, to work with each Zone to teach and train on effective public contacting and they will share more as the day goes on.

Then we break and we spread all over town for hands-on experience. We went to Walmart with one of the missionaries on the way he explained a little bit about what these two missionaries were going to be helping the mission. They are about being an example on how to approach people in public to ask if they like to hear a message about God, or if there's anyone that we can pray for, or if can we help with service, and then we try to get their number to maybe talk more.
In the parking lot and walked around for about 2 hours and we were actually able to get 13 numbers!!! And those are 13 numbers that we would have never had obviously so that was super exciting and there in our area of work!
Elder Peterson came with us to Walmart and he was an absolute natural, but still very new in finding people in public. So as we worked together were able to get a nice flow going and that's how I think we were able to get 13 numbers haha. My comp is learning too, social interaction isn't his jam, but I am making sure to hype him on using this new finding technique, together we will get there.

A few days later I was able to go on an exchange with one of our Zone leaders Elder Carter such a homie and we get along so well. The next day and a half was such a hard-working but such a good time with him. The morning of we went to go to the mall to go find in public. We were actually able to get two numbers at the mall as we were just asking people if there was anyone we could pray for. Super awesome finding experience also pretty fun to go inside of a mall again not having been in one for almost a year. After that, we had a couple of lessons and they went awesome. Elder Carter and I feed off of each other teaching so well.
After that we went to Walmart parking lot to go do some more finding hahaa. Walmart or any grocery outlet is a gold mine for finding people who are going through hard times. That night from 8- 9 we were able to get like 7 numbers, we were so tired and slap-happy that we just sent it on everyone we saw and tried to start a good conversation and that led to us getting some people interested in what we believe!!
One goal we have set as a zone this week is 100 new contacts/numbers that we have found public finding, so its a really big goal and President texted the zone chat, and he is really looking forward to seeing how it goes! Hopefully, we will be able to pull through with that goal!
Elder Carter and I also ran into a guy on stilts waving on the street in a Halloween costume so we parked the car and went to wave at cars with him on a super super busy street. So that was super fun to do definitely very spontaneous but we got a lot of laughs from the cars that were driving by.

Today was our p-day and we were able to wake up and go play some basketball with the zone and after that, we went to the church Pear Farm. They had a lunch for all of the missionaries who helped with the pear harvest so that was super fun.
After that, we were able to go to the Medford Temple super awesome to do an endowment session there again as I have not done one since I left Klamath about 7 months ago. Bonus cuz I was able to see some members from the Klamath Falls Keno branch! So reuniting with them was really tender and I almost started tearing up but kept it together lol, I told them I would try to come back hopefully after my last two transfers of my mission hahah. Love the Medford Temple, tho super awesome, just extremely smaller compared to the Portland one hahah

Have a solid week!
