The one where I hit 8 months

 May 23th - June 12th

Hi! Sorry, it's been so long since the last email lol but we have done a lot these past weeks so this email will compile the past 3 weeks-ish!

On May 27th
We had a joined service with the Junction City Elders and that was super fun to help them at camp alpine, camp alpine is a church-owned property for big church gatherings like girls' camp and young men's camps. We loaded firewood into the places where they needed firewood, we were able to ride around on the lil John Deere gator so that was fun lol, made me miss off-roading so bad.

May 27th
We had our last lesson with our investigator Russ Fish and it went well as expected! He is so ready for baptism and he can't wait for it! So great to see someone's knowledge grow so fast about the gospel despite how old he is

May 30th
Was transfer day and it was so exciting because I ended up..... staying in the same area and same companion but fr I'm excited because one of the investigators, Russ Fish is on date hopefully on the 24 of July! WOOO

June 2nd
We had an awesome dinner with the Wolcotts, and on the way back Elder Chevalier got a flat. So we start walking and this guy on a motorcycle pulls up next to us and says hey I got a patch kit for a tube he leaves it with us and rides away and says I'll come back grab it just make sure to leave it in the bushes, super nice guy. The patches didn't end up working so we ended up walking the rest of the way but I'm glad there was someone willing to help out! We love biking.

June 7th
We got a referral that needed some help in their yard pulling weeds and digging holes for new plants, we have never met these people before but they were super nice and put us right to work. As we all divided and conquered, I got set up to dig some holes for the plants and as I was doing that, the wife and husband come over and we had an awesome conversation about how they met and how they are getting married in September in there back yard hence why we're there doing yard work lol, but as the conversation got going I eventually brought up God.
I asked them where they went to church, and they said a Catholic Church in town. I asked them why they stopped going and they were saying they just didn't feel welcome, so I asked them if they have been to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints church.
They said "Nope, we just don't think we could live the lifestyle you guys have" so I said we would love to come to explain what we know about the gospel and how the "lifestyle" is to protect it from all the evil in the world, (keep in mind I'm all by myself basically) so I was super nervous but I held out and I feel like I did very well for not having a senior comp with me if I messed up but I didn't mess up because I just talked like how I would with the lawn care clients I had! Super glad I see I still have that skill and am able to apply the church aspect of that skill! WOOO

June 9th
We had district council and after we had an exchange with the ZLs. I went With Elder Cummins sadly there not in a Spanish area so no awesome food or anything, but we were able to knock on some sketchy doors and we actually didn't get yelled at! This area is super dead so they got permission to be able to knock on some doors, as we are not supposed to knock on doors.
After that we went out to grab some burgers bc we were craving that definitely missin' 5 GUYS but oh well.
After dinner we went over to a non-member apartment and we talked to her for a little while, her name is Grandma Lynn the nicest non-member I have ever met. She always loves getting to know the missionaries, so she told us about her childhood and how she was never able to "find the true church" and we and Elder Cummins looked at each other like bruh is she messing with us because it was like the most role-played thing to say to missionaries so we just went along with it. We asked her about the Book of Mormon and she said she doesn't even know what that is so we said, say less we will go grab one.  We grabbed on from the car bc it was just down the sidewalk, and rushed back over and talked about the Book of Mormon and how we know it's true! It was so crazy, to have such a real but it felt fake conversation with someone that wasn't a member haha

The next morning, we went to the gym and after had personal study and did a quick service helping some members put topsoil in their flower beds! And after we exchanged back to our OG companions.

JUNE 10th I hit my 8 MONTHS WOOOO

June 11th Sunday
We were able to meet up to have a lesson with the couple that we helped on the 7th, we planned on teaching the restoration, but it turned into so much more than that, we ended up touching over the restoration and the plan of salvation and talked about missions, we ended up staying there for like an hour and a half, the bf was definitely a lil buzzed but the wife seemed totally into the lesson and what we were teaching them! I'm glad I followed that impression I got on Wednesday! Gotta love how the spirit works!

Fixing Elder Chevalier's flat, cool story tho.
