The one where I hit 6 months

Today Monday, April 10th I hit 6 months of being on a mission!! So crazy how fast time flies. So glad I've been able to grow so much as a human and learn more than I ever have about Jesus Christ and our Father in Heaven! I've learned plenty of people skills and have learned to keep my cool when things get out of hand than others

I understand now a little bit how people say missions are hard and some companions harder than others but that's alright it's all part of learning and growing together and as long as the work doesn't stop time flies and your pillow comes faster than expected

These past few weeks have been not super busy, but this past Easter Sunday we got so many referrals from people in the ward!! So we have a busy week ahead of us!!

One of the people we are meeting with starting this week his name is Russ and he wants to get baptized so bad!! He's getting married to a member and he sees the truth he just needs to learn the doctrine. We are trying to work with his busy work schedule to meet! Super good guy and glad he's getting married to a member that helps a lot his fiancé is in Colorado and is working over there till they get married and then she will move here to Eugene.

EASTER SUNDAY.
The morning of Easter Sunday, we went over to a family's house whose son recently passed away, about 2 weeks ago. We went over there (a member drove us) and we gave the dad a blessing because the funeral was that day, Super sad but glad they know where he is now!! It was a powerful experience and to be able to offer comfort to them was very humbling.

After the blessing, we hurried back to the church and we practiced with the choir and sang hymn 200! Yes, I actually sang lol but still kinda hate it but we were asked so we did it but after the church service, we went to the funeral with a member and it was good to say hi to the dad again that we gave the blessing to earlier that morning!!

Then we had Easter dinner with a super cool member family (The Chandlers) that wanted us to come over last minute for dinner and we went over and had lots of laughs!! For dinner we had toast and then we had boiled eggs and we chopped up the boiled eggs and had them on the toast and then put gravy on top of everything and guess what I actually ate it and I two of them!! Lol, it wasn't bad but I was shocked I didn't puke when I had the boiled eggs lol super cool family we talked and laughed for almost 3 hours and it went by so fast!

The dad was a seminary teacher and there were some of the daughters had some friends come over that don't go to any church, so they had dinner with us and it was a really cool message after the dinner the dad kinda told the WHOLE Easter story on how Christ died for all of us, etc. and they seemed interested throughout the whole thing so that was cool!

Then we got soaked in the rain biking home and Elder Chevalier (My companion) got a flat so we had to bike slow lol so instead of a 5-minute bike ride, it was more like 10-15 lol.

GENERAL CONFERENCE
Sunday morning we went over to the Petersons to watch the first session of the conference and it was fire to watch it on a big TV and not on a little phone haha. We also had a brunch with them and they same some yummy food and got super full! In the other sessions, we just watched it on our phones, and guess what! I didn't fall asleep a shocker since I've fallen asleep every conference of my whole life.
A lot of good takeaways from the conference but as I got thinking about patriarchal blessings and how I can bring them into missionary work because it's not something you talk about as a missionary but I wanna start explaining it to our new members to the ward that have maybe not heard of it! So that's one of my goals for my mission is to help someone gain a testimony of the patriarchal blessing!

Love you guys and can't believe I've been away from family and friends for 6 months!!
