The one where I had an angel on my shoulder

This week we had quite a few things happen!! First, we had an awesome church invite and second, we were able to go to the Portland temple with members that were getting their endowments! And 3rd we had transfers!

So an explanation of the subject of this email lol this is about my church invite that I extended to a non-member! So we were helping this super nice older couple with moving some wood into the back of a truck to me hauled off to the dump, so anyways we are about done and the husband comes over and we get talking. In my head there's a little back and forth, and I was trying to decide if I wanted to invite him to church (me never being pushy with religion) it's like there was a little devil on one shoulder and an angel on the other shoulder and I decided to send it with the angel! I said "hey what are you doing this Sunday" and he said "now that I think about it I don't think I'm doing anything" So I say back to him "Well Brother Johnson I wanna personally invite you to church this Sunday" and he said back" well I'll talk to my wife and decide what we wanna do" and I said, "perfect!" So that moment right there is just awesome because I really did see the spirit working with me on that invite!! 
Sadly we were not able to see if we were there bc me and my comp were super sick Sunday but all that matters is the invite and making them feel welcome to Jesus Christ's church️.

The endowment session we went to was for a member couple and it was so much a neat experience to be there with them at a later time of day. As missionaries, we only get to go in the early mornings and this time the endowment session started at 6pm. So when we came out of the temple, the sun was setting and you could kinda see it!! With Oregon weather, this time of year is rare, and was neat to be there at that time!! Always love getting the opportunity to go to the temple twice, especially in one transfer!

So not much changed for transfers I'm staying in the same area with the same companion Elder Chevalier!

This week went by so fast because it was filled with surprises and other highlights below. Tuesday Nov 8th Today was filled with service and moving apartments. We did service at a thrift store called Treasures. We sorted a bunch of wires and put them in a massive bin so untangling them took forever lol once we got done they said we could go shopping around and I found a sick sock tie and a sick old handheld FM radio.  After we got done with the service we found out we were moving to a different apartment! So that was exciting and a big surprise but also a small hassle because I finally got all my clothes and desk all organized, but now had to pack it all up. Our new place is an upgrade from our old apartment so that was a massive plus! It puts us 15 minutes closer to our Keno area, but just that much further from the Yonna Valley area. The one where is doesn't rain...because it snows!

Hi everyone this is Elder Fillmore emailing from OREGON! So crazy I'm here! Wednesday, November 2nd!  At 6:30AM we checked out of the MTC and headed to Provo Station to catch our train to the airport. Once there, my comp and just chilled while we waited for our flight to OR. We landed in Eugene, Oregon early afternoon and as expected it was pouring down rain and I was like oh boy haha here it all starts. We made our way to grab our luggage and walked out of the airport and boom the sun was out so that was a tender mercy!  We were met by the APs Elder Yeager and Elder Hepworth, super cool guys. We got loaded up and on our way. We traveled to the mission offices in Eugene and when we arrived, we were greeted by President and Sister Weekes. It was so awesome to meet them F2F for the first time and they are super cool people. The one where I'm in Eugene!

Hi ik I took a fat break with emails, but since the last one, I got transferred up to EUGENE with Elder Chevalier! Such a good teacher and has a way better sense of humor than my last comp lol so I'm so thankful for that!! We are a little north of Eugene, in Santa Clara kinda a suburb of Eugene and I am on a BIKE. One of two biking areas in the mish.  The teaching pool is seriously slacking up here so we are trying to change that as much as we can so far we are teaching 3 people but since I've been here we have only been able to meet with one of them once a week. So we are trying to start teaching those others too!  Yesterday, we had a member dinner and the house was maybe 20 minutes away on a bike. So we get going it was a light sprinkle when we start and the closer we got the harder and harder it rained lol.
