The where I got sick ugh!
So this week has been a solid week of service and people keeping there commitments!!
We start off the week of service at the Ralph's for a couple of hours. After we drove to Georgine's and helped at her dog rescue, and helped her set up a gate for a new dog she found on the side of the road lol. We got that set up at like 7 pm, so cold, but had to push through it and she surprised us with dinner that she made! So sweet of Georgine! After we had a lesson with the Chue family, they are from Japan I think so there all very Asian and super nice, the whole family is baptized in the church but the youngest 2 are not so this upcoming week we are gonna teach them and refresh the lessons with them but we went their home in the middle of nowhere in our dirty service clothes that we had been in all day lol but they didn't care but we explained that we are usually in Sunday clothes lol we are gonna try to get them to come back to church bc that's the most important part before we even think about baptism.
On Friday, is when I woke up sicker than a dog! First and hopefully the last time being sick on the mish lol. Definitely not I knew I was gonna get sick eventually but not this soon in the mission but oh well, so I woke up with really bad congestion and a bad cough and body soreness. Such a bad day but I pushed through and about 1 pm we drove 40 minutes to the Yonna chapel to meet with Shannon! He said he's doing better on not using tobacco and then he choose to talk bout temples next time we meet on Saturday!! Then we drive another 45 minutes past the church building to the family that lives by that (yellow Dozer on Facebook) we had to take the Spanish elders truck out there, bc it was super muddy.
But after that, we had dinner by the Tom's but they were 2 hours away so we had to drive as fast as possible to make it there on time, and boom we made it right on time! Let's just say sitting and driving and looking at a 2 lane road only able to go 60 for 4 hours really messed me up so bad with the sickness, but the Tom's made some super good bean-less chili and it was so good on my throat because it got really sore though out that day.
The next day I took enough doTERRA on guard cough drops to kill a cow lol but that was probably my saving grace bc at least the next day I was able to talk! Wooo it actually works!!! Hahah
Earlier this week we were able to meet with Brother Platt and he's just less active we have just been trying to convince him to come to church at least once and this Sunday he did!! He came with his wife who is very Christian so we were shocked but it was fast Sunday we I was able to share my testimony after Brother Platt said to me in private, "What you said might just bring me back to the church!" I just stood there in shock bc of how much of an impact my words had on him and I was so honored!! And after talking to his wife she said she liked it a lot and wants to come back so me and Elder Kjar have a lot of hope for them!! Definitely probably the highlight of the week!!
Update on the cold, it's Monday, and I'm doing a little better just still bad congestion and a little cough, and just a lack of energy.
