Elder Zach Fillmore

This week was quite the week!!  On Tuesday we had exchanges with our ZL's, they are in a Spanish-speaking area of the mission so I was extremely excited to not understand anything they were saying hahah. I went with Elder Wells, super great missionary, we got along great!  The first thing we did was we had a lesson with one of their investigators her name is Zoriada she's an older lady from Puerto Rico! She was very interested in the plan of salvation but I just had to let Elder Wells talk because I don't speak Español hahah!  But after that hour-and-a-half lesson by the end of it, I was dozing off bc the language is just so peaceful weirdly lol.  After that we went to go have the best Mexican food ever from the Gutierrez family and it was super yummy the husband was a landscaper just like me so we were able to speak a little bit of English back and forth about landscaping! Another SOLID week.  On  Wednesday, we had dinner with the Shepherds and the Alders, Sister Alder had work to do so we weren't in that picture but we had a yummy pizza dinner lol we talked about how the Shepherds are converts to the church and how that changed there lives in ways they can't even describe.  He shared some cool story's from his childhood and its tough. I need to remember my childhood stories better bc I don't remember most of them off the top of my head I would have to think haha but super cool and unique/older home but probably the biggest house I've been in!!  Brother Shepherd built that temple made of Legos from SCRATCH like WHAT?! He said it took him bout 4 months to find all the prices to build it (like finding prices off eBay or other websites) but he said it was bout 3 and a half feet high and once he was done with it he took it around and put it in the lodge of his ski resort Hoodoo ski resort, and put it right in the middle of the lodge!   May 1st - 7th 2023 On Tuesday, I got to lead the message we were having with a part member family, the Rynearsons and it went really well! I shared the classic video with them called "Baring our burdens with hope," and I loved what Jerry (the husband) said "God gives us tools we just have to choose to use them."  That statement is very true and guess what Jerry, is the non-member of the family! So as we meet with them week by week we are hoping we could start to reactivate the wife and get the husband to possibly get baptized!  We had Young Men's right after the message and we decided to go with the Deacons this time and I was like "Ohhhhh boy here we go" hahaha but we decided to send it and it was actually pretty fun. Hellooo again!! These past two weeks have been flying by! Can't believe it's already May. I swear New Years was like last week. T he past two Sundays we have been meeting with Russ Fish such a good guy, we have put him on a date for baptism on June 10th, right before he gets married!!! He's an older guy and it's kinda hard to teach and help the info stick so we have had to make adjustments to our lessons to make them a lot simpler. I t's all going good and he is retaining the information so that's awesome and probably the best thing we could ask for.  But this past week is when we got the sun and holy Zach has been starving for some sun and these three days of solid sun made me super happy. We had member meals throughout.
