The one where I'm in Eugene!
Hi ik I took a fat break with emails, but since the last one, I got transferred up to EUGENE with Elder Chevalier! Such a good teacher and has a way better sense of humor than my last comp lol so I'm so thankful for that!! We are a little north of Eugene, in Santa Clara kinda a suburb of Eugene and I am on a BIKE. One of two biking areas in the mish.
The teaching pool is seriously slacking up here so we are trying to change that as much as we can so far we are teaching 3 people but since I've been here we have only been able to meet with one of them once a week. So we are trying to start teaching those others too!
Yesterday, we had a member dinner and the house was maybe 20 minutes away on a bike. So we get going it was a light sprinkle when we start and the closer we got the harder and harder it rained lol. So we finally get to the house just soaking like our pants on our thighs are just soaked and it was a cold rain so we were just freezing luckily they put a space heater right next to me and my comp at the dinner table. So that was awesome and then on the ride home we got even more soaked hahaha so funny I had to hurry and run in and take a hot shower bc I was just so cold and couldn't feel anything lol
Eugene is definitely a whole different world than Klamath Falls but it's not as bad as I thought lol. Downtown is very bad apparently, but where our area is, it's not as bad and there are really nice families in our ward!
Speaking about wards it's really nice to be in one I never thought I would miss a big congregation but wow I have missed it, I had an overwhelming first week bc I felt like I should have known everyone.... but that's because I had the mindset of a branch and how I should know everyone already, but with a ward, I had to change that mindset really fast and take it one the week at a time when it comes to getting to know the members and at church I try to be as social as possible!!
The members range from newlyweds and old people like 85 lol. It's definitely a good change but still miss Klamath a little because they like to joke around a little so I miss that part!
I'll be sending out an email next week with more details but ik how emails go when they are too long people don't read them lol.
Elder Willoughby, Me, and Elder Nelson at the transfer spot. I won't see them for a
long time because I'm in the north part of the mish, and they are in the south.
Gonna miss these two guys.
First day out with the new comp! I served around him in Klamath my
first transfer, he was in Lakeview down near Klamath.
Just enjoying the rainy weather outside the church
Enjoying some super spicy soup from a member
My new District in Santa Clara
Pie Day, trying to make the most of it lol
Me and Elder Wells, one of our ZLs, is the coolest, definitely a homie
